“Sono nata a Napoli e non sarei voluta nascere in nessun’altra parte nel mondo” Nata a Napoli nel 1951 Marisa Laurito incarna tutti gli aspetti dell’arte: è attrice di teatro e cinema, cabarettista e presentatrice in televisione, cantante, fotografa, pittrice e non disdegna neanche le arti della cucina. Nel suo sito web, infatti, è presente una sezione dedicata alla cucina con le ricette che realizza. La carriera di Marisa Laurito inizia a Napoli molto presto entrando a far parte della compagnia teatrale di Eduardo De Filippo e debuttando nel 1969, a soli 17 anni, nella commedia “Le bugie hanno le gambe lunghe” e proseguendo poi con altre rappresentazioni teatrali. Nel 1972 entra nel gruppo "I Cabarinieri” portando in scena alcuni spettacoli nel teatro cabaret San Carluccio e rimanendo fino alla fine della stagione nel 1973. Negli stessi anni prende parte, come comparsa o ruoli secondari, a numerose trasposizioni televisive delle opere di De Filippo, trasmesse dalla Rai. Nel cinema debutta nel 1976 con il film “Pari e dispari” di Sergio Corbucci seguito poi nel ’78 da “La mazzetta” dello stesso Corbucci a fianco di Nino Manfredi e Ugo Tognazzi. Seguiranno altre pellicole cinematografiche, più di trenta, come “I guappi non si toccano”, “Cafè Express” di Nanni Loy, “Il mistero di Bellavista” del 1985 diretto da Luciano De Crescenzo fino ad essere protagonista in “Tierra Nueva” a fianco di Antonio Banderas nel 1991, film per il quale ha ricevuto il Premio come migliore attrice protagonista straniera al Festival Internazionale di Bogotà. Dal palco del teatro al palcoscenico televisivo il passo è breve e Marisa Laurito viene prima scritturata da Ninni Pingitore, regista del teatro Bagaglino di Roma, come primadonna e poi da metà anni ‘80 del Novecento esplode la sua popolarità con il programma di Renzo Arbore “Quelli della notte”, “Marisa la nuit” (per il quale vince il Telegatto come personaggio femminile dell’anno 1987) e partecipa a “Fantastico” insieme ad Adriano Celentano (stagione 1987-88). Conduce “Domenica in” (stagione 1988-1989, per la regia di Gianni Boncompagni) vincendo un secondo Telegatto come personaggio femminile dell’anno, “Fantastico” con Pippo Baudo, “Serata d’Onore” di Gino Landi, “Paperissima” di Antonio Ricci. Porta la passione per la cucina con le trasmissioni “Casa Laurito”, “Pasta Love e Fantasia” e “I Fatti Vostri” dove tiene una rubrica specifica. Marisa Laurito recita anche in alcune serie tv dalla recente “Mina Settembre”, adattamento dai romanzi di Maurizio De Giovanni, a “Dio vede e provvede” (1997), “Baciati dall’amore” (2011). L’amore per il teatro viene costantemente coltivato portando in scena al teatro Sistina “900 Napoletano” di Bruno Garofalo, un successo durato 10 anni in giro per il mondo, e poi ancora con “Menopause The Musical” e con “Show! Tutti insieme abbondantemente” per la regia di Manuela Metri e il “Cabaret Burlesque” per il Napoli Teatro Festival, “Aggiungi un posto a tavola” di Garinei e Giovannini. È inoltre autrice e interprete della commedia, “Pazza d’amore” diretta da Vincenzo Salemme. Ha interpretato il ruolo di Niegus ne “La Vedova Allegra” per la regia di Gino Landi presso l’Arena di Verona. Da 2020 è direttrice artistica del teatro Trianon Viviani di Napoli che dirige con competenza e passione valorizzando la cultura partenopea della tradizione e contemporanea. La creatività artistica di Marisa Laurito si manifesta anche attraverso la fotografia, i dipinti, le installazioni e le decorazioni di vasi e lampade. Ha all’attivo cinque esposizioni monografiche a Roma, Milano, Treviso, Siracusa, Noto.
