ABOUT

The Parthenope platform was designed to create two multi-user, interactive virtual environments. The first is dedicated to the women of Naples, recounting the biographies of the leading figures who shaped the history and culture of the city of Naples, with a perspective that encompasses the past, present and future. The backdrop is provided by the places where they lived and worked, leaving a deep and indelible mark thanks to their achievements.
The second has a specific focus on Frederick II and the Memory of Women, a virtual museum aimed at passing on the female figures who contributed to the development of a centuries-old history, that of the University of Naples, an instrument of social advancement and cultural elevation for generations of students.

The aim is to promote knowledge of the history of women, their cultural heritage and Neapolitan feminism. Participatory storytelling to convey the creativity, commitment and generativity of women, to reflect on the role of women in the city of Naples and their legacy over the centuries and in today's society.

The platform is the result of a collaboration between Phantasya Communication, a creative agency specialising in innovative communication and the enhancement of cultural heritage through advanced digital technologies, and the laboratory Donne Genere Formazione - DGF and the Observatory on Governance for Education in Cultural, Artistic and Landscape Heritage - OGEP3 Unina, both part of the Department of Humanities at the University of Naples Federico II, the E.V.A. Social Cooperative and the innovative start-up GRETA srl.

The project team draws on interdisciplinary skills, combining art, technology and inclusion to offer everyone an immersive, accessible and engaging cultural experience.
